“I came, but can I see?” VII: ‘Cos 90’_nothing to report … (#NWOVidi2025diaries)

Welcome and thank you for joining me on this adventure. For the newbies, you can catch up on previous post: first blog post, second blog post here, third blog post here, fourth blog post here, fifth post here and sixth post here.

This week was the school holidays for my kids and spending some quality time with them was well worth it. I am therefore ‘delighted’ to report that this week I did nothing related to the Vidi proposal process. As we would say back in Senior Secondary School days in Ghana, what I achieved was ‘Cos 90’. What is ‘Cos 90’ you ask? Cos 90 degrees is the value of cosine trigonometric function for an angle equal to 90 degrees. The value of cos 90° is 0. 😀

At the end of Week 8, I still feel ‘someway bi‘ but perhaps a week of not doing anything with the proposal idea was needed. Ideas need time (forced or otherwise) to settle and mature. I’m hoping this week is still beneficial in the long run. I did manage to clear some of the overdue work task unrelated to writing a research proposal.

Goals for Week 7: Next week’s goal is simple and achievable – I hope to do more than I did this week. How hard can it be to go from zero to one? 😀I will try to write…starting maybe with the descriptive elements of the proposal idea. Let’s see how it goes

The adventure continues…see you next week Friday for the next instalment of the #NWOVididiaries blog post.
